Angela Davis was born on Januray 26th, 1944 in Birmingham, Alabama, to parents Sallye Davis and Frank Davis.
She grew up surrounded by communist organizers who influenced her thinking.
Angela is a understanding, compassionate, fair, confident and caring person who has been on screen. (Angela is giving her speech on self respect.)
Angela did very well in school which allowed her to get a scholarship into Brandies University. She was one of only three black people in her class.
In 1969, Angela Davis was a philosophy professor at UCLA. (University of California, Las Angeles.)
During 1969b and years after, she was known as a radical feminist, an activist, a member of the Communist Party USA, and an associate of the Black Panther Party
