  • My name is Francis the Ghost. I am making soup with my cat Spook.
  • Period (.)
  • Spook and I like to sit around the house until night time. At night we go out and scare the bejesus out of people.
  • Question Mark (?)
  • Are you ready to scare people Spook?
  • Yes sir, I am.
  • Punctuation tells the reader where one thought ends and the next begins.
  • Exclamation Mark (!)
  • AHHHH!!! Someone help me!
  • BOOOOO OOOOOOO
  • A period is a punctuation mark used to symbol the end of a sentence or an abbreviation.
  • Comma (,)
  • A question mark is a punctuation mark used after a direct question and each part in a series of questions.
  • Semicolon (;)
  • This is the tunnel where Spook spends most of his time; I don't like it down here.
  • An exclamation mark shows strong emotion. It follows a word, group of words, or a sentence. It shows excitement, anger, or urgency.
  • A comma is an internal punctuation mark used to separate items in a sentence.
  • This is where Spook and I live, it is very homey.
  • A semicolon is used to show a pause.
