How Black Bears have adapted to their environment.
Black bears diet mostly consists of mammals, insects, grasses, and fish. They catch their prey with their sharp claws and teeth
When a Black Bear gives birth to cubs the Mother keeps the cubs and raises them for 225 (17 months), teaching the cubs how to capture prey, protecting them from harm, and showing them the way of life.
A bears den is the territory where the sow raises the cubs until they are old enough to go on their own. The den is where the sow goes into hibernation and where the sow gives birth to her cubs.
At the end of the 17 months the cubs are now ready to go off on their own repeat the life cycle of the mother or the father.
This tells how the black bear is very well adapted to their environment because they can raise cubs easily and pass on this knowledge on for generations and may cause an generation to develop a new trait and adaptation that could change the black bears way of life.
