  • This calm submission is dishonorable and vile. The thrust of a sword will end this surrender. Tybalt, you rat-catcher, will you go fight me?
  • Well, peace be with you, sir. Here comes my man. Romeo, the love I bear thee can afford. No better term than this: thou art a villain.
  • O Romeo, Romeo, brave Mercutio is dead!That gallant spirit hath aspired the clouds, Which too untimely here did scorn the earth.
  • Romeo, away, be gone! The citizens are up, and Tybalt slain. Stand not amazed. The Prince will doom thee deathIf thou art taken. Hence, be gone, away!
  • Mercutio, Benvolio and Tybalt's bickering continues the intensity rising as Romeo enters.
  • Swords are drawn preparing for a duel between Mercutio and Tybalt. They fight before being interrupted by Romeo, his attempt to break up the fight fails leaving Mercutio getting stabbed by Tybalt.
  • Romeo draws his sword to fight Tybalt in honor of Mercutio. This battle decides who joins Mercutio in the afterlife. Tybalt falls, his death following not long after. Romeo then runs off not to be caught in the act of killing Tybalt in front of the citizens and The Prince.
