- Perseus started off in a very unfortunate way because he was born in a chamber. This is because his own grandfather locked his mother in it scared of the prophecy he was given. His grandfather being scared locks him and his mother in a chest sending them off to sea. Eventually they on up on a island where he grew up very poorly.
- Mentor/Helper
- The king of the island named Polydectes said he wants to marry Perseus's mother. At the wedding Perseus shows up with no gift. The king tells Perseus that he owes him for letting him live on the island. Perseus says he owes his life to him and will get him whatever he desires. The king satisfied says he wants Perseus to fetch him the Gorgons #160;Head/ Medusa head. With those words Perseus's journey began.
- Allies/Helpers
- As Perseus embarked on his journey he goes looking for the Phorcides. They live in a cavern way up north and there morning and night are one. As Perseus entered this place he saw three old ladies#160;with one eye and one tooth passing them around mumbling to each other. Perseus had to trick the three old ladies/sisters so they can tell him where the nymphs are so he can get the items he needs to slay medusa. So he does by placing his hand on one of them. The old lady thought it was her sisters hand and gave him the eyeball. The three old ladies angry they told him where the nymphs were and he gave them the eyeball and ran off.
- Road to Trials
- Without Athena and Hermes Perseus wouldn't be where he was now. Athena was a great mentor as she guided him to the Nymphs and told him to go to them in the first place. Athena also told him how to start his quest as well. Hermes was also a great help as he lended Perseus many weapons.
- After Perseus finished getting information from the sisters he started looking for the Nymphs who guarded#160;the Hat of Darkness, the Winged Sandals, and the knapsack.This meant the Nymphs contributed in Perseus's success in slaying Medusa.After Perseus found the Nymphs they lended him the items they were guarding and Perseus set off again.
- After Perseus has gotten all the items he needed he sets off to find Medusa. At lass he found Medusa and her two sisters who were blind, but they were sleeping. It was very difficult for Perseus to get near Medusa because her sisters had a keen sense of hearing and smell. This made Perseus's task much more difficult.
