  • Thank you very much dear reader for joining me in this incredible adventure throughout the layers of the Earth! It has been a pleasure having your company and I hope I see you next time for our next adventure!
  • We have arrived at the outer core! If you can notice around me, I am surrounded by liquid. This is because the outer core is the only layer of the Earth to be completely liquid because of its intense heat. It has a temperature of 4,026-5,726 °C (7,280-10,340 °F). This layer has a thickness of 2,299 km (1,429 miles). The outer core is mainly composed of metals such as iron and nickel. As we get closer to the center of the Earth, which is the inner core, the pressure increases, meaning that this layer has high pressures. We are finally behind the inner core, so let's continue going down!
  • And last but not least, we had arrived at the inner core, the last layer of the Earth! It is estimated that this layer has incredibly high temperatures approximately reaching 5,426 °C (9,800 °F), making it almost as hot as the sun. Perhaps it's the hottest layer, the pressure it holds from all the other layers above it is so great that it converts this layer into a solid. It has a thickness of 1,220 km (758 miles). The inner core is formed from materials such as iron and nickel, but it also contains heavy metals like gold and platinum. This layer contains lots of heat that radiates its heat to all the layers above it. Now that we have made it into the center of the Earth, we must go back to the crust through the portal.
