Hey bro, you ever thought about government corruption?
No, not really. Why do you ask?
I just found out how much it affects society….
Oh damn bro, tell me what you found.
Because of their selfishness, they don’t use their power for the common good, or for their people.
Well, corruption happens when multiple government officials use their postition in power for their own illegitimate purposes.
Instead, they pass laws that will harm the public, and that leads to things like increased poverty.
Really? But it’s only a few people right?
Their influence can spread throughout other places too.
After a while, corruption can be rooted within a whole government.
They usually bribe people with money or a piece of their status into doing what they want.
Holy crap, bro. How do we even begin to stop this?
We can vote to update anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws, making sure they are implemented correctly as well as effectively.
While there’s nothing truly major we can achieve in one fell swoop, there are some small things we can do.
Companies should make sure all employees receive anti-bribery training, and they should definitely report bribery as soon as they witness it.
Okay. Thanks, bro. I learned a lot.
