- Since wood wasn't abundant in China, they needed a fuel source, and coal became theirs!
- Soon, coal mining developed, and the Chinese found something new while mining: steel!
- They used steel for better weapons, tools, and homemade machines.
- In the Song Dynasty, one of the most important inventions was made: paper!
- It was used for scrolls, paper currency, and fireworks!
- Other important inventions, such as the compass and gunpowder were also made by the Chinese
- These inventions still help us today, like paper currency (the U.S. Dollar) and gunpowder (weaponry)
