- Once upon a time there was a boy named Makato. He was an orphan, and had no friends or family to take care of him. Because he had to make his own living he did all kinds of odd jobs.

- One day, after he worked in the fields he rested and one of his employer asked him.
- I would like to go to a journey for adventure in the northeast. i heard that their king is a good-hearted.
- What are you thinking so much deeply my boy?
- The land you wished was called Sukhothai
- Yes you're right their King is a good-hearted. He's Pra Ruang.

- Then Makato started his journey tothe north-east
- I'm going to the land of Sukhothai

- When he met the king, Pra Ruang gave him a cowrie shell. He went to he market place and bought some lettuce seeds.
