- the pharaoh of Egypt believed that the 3rd born son of a Hebrew would take away his slaves and free them so he decided he would kill all 3rd born sons
- one mother saved her child named Moses by sending him down the river
- the pharaoh's wife found moses and adopted him as her own
- moses grew up in the palace with his adopted brother who was about to be pharoh authough he knew he was realy a hebrew he still felt accepted
