- It was a cold morning, in the midst of Christmas day. Della was up and so was Jim, he husband.
- Thank you honey, but i have to go into work early today if i want that promotion.
- Im making eggs for breakfast, your favorite!
- Della walks Jim to the door. As Jim puts on his jacket he turns to Della.
- Honey, you know how much I adore your long hair.
- After Jim leaves Della goes to town with the $1.87 that she had saved up, she was going to buy Jim a present. Soon though, she realized that she did not have enough money.
- Della decided the only logical thing left to do was cut her hair and sell it to make extra cash.

- As Della anxiously awaits for JIm she changes her cloths to match her new hair.
