- Has anyone here heard about reflection of light?
- Today, Class, we are going to go over light and some interesting things about it!
- Reflection and refraction of Light
- Like when light bounces off something, and causes us to see color? And all the other colors are absorbed?
- When all colors are reflected we see white and when all colors are absorded we see black.
- Exactly. Everything we see, we see because our eyes filter out a certain group of electromagnetic waves called the visible spectrum.
- That is why when there is no light at all, we can't see anything.!?!?
- This would explain what is going on when your body looks different under water while you are swimming, or a wavy figure in an oasis in the desert.
- Does anyone know what it is called when light travels through a different mediums? Such as a thick gas or water?
- That must be refraction! Refraction is the reflection through 2 different densities
