George and Lennie have arrived at a pool of water and are discussing their plans for when they get to the ranch. Lennie is always confused and forgetful and George gets annoyed at him when he does this. They have a fire and sleep in the woods
.
Lennie and George have arrived at the ranch and have met a few of the ranch members. This includes Curley who is the boss’s son and has already threatened Lennie.
Lots of people were in the bunker. Candy’s dog was shot by Carlson because it was getting old. Lennie got into a fight with Curley and crushed his hand.
Everyone has gone to town except Lennie, Candy and Crooks. Lennie and Candy are in Crooks room. He has a separate room from the other because of the colour of his skin. They are talking about Lennie, George and Cnadys plans for their house. Curlers wife comes in and they start having a small argument with her.
Inside the barn, Lennie has killed Curley’s wife by breaking her neck. All the men come into the barn and Curley plans to go find Lennie and shoot him dead. George insists that he didn’t mean it in a mean way and Curley doesn’t care and they all set of to find Lennie.
George finds Lennie before the others and talks to him about their dreams and Lennie’s rabbits. George tells him to look over at something in the woods then shoots him in the back of the head. Slim comes over and takes George out for a drink.
