  • Libisema: 1
  • A liquid is a form of matter which doesn't have a set shape since it's particles are free but still touching. A common example of a liquid is water, although liquids could be lava, since it has most of the same properties of water and it's particles are in liquid form, I believe.
  • Some more examples of liquids are lava, saliva (gross), and your tears, among many others! Liquids can dry up and turn into solids most of the time! Particles in a liquid stick together, but they move freely together. Liquids are special since liquids can be heated into a gas, but also frozen into a solid.
  • Libisema: 2
  • A solid is something where their particles are touching tightly, clumped together like a can of sardines.
  • Usually, you can melt solids fairly easy! But rocks are pretty hard to 'melt'. It would take a blacksmith to get it into a runny liquid. You can tell something is a solid since it will stay its shape even if you tap and shake it, there are some weird exceptions like jello. The solids particles are stuck together, never moving from each other unless they melt.
  • Libisema: 3
  • Finally, a gas is made up of loose particles that do not touch and run wild. The gas everyone knows is oxygen or air. which we breathe.
  • More examples are steam, smoke, and vapor. Gas is usually invisible. Gas can condense, but can't really turn back into a solid. Lava usually produces smoke from how hot it is, burnt things too! Water evaporates to make gas, meaning the water is gone and now the cloud/gas.
