  • The four noble truths are the four central beliefs of the Buddhas teaching. The first truth is suffering. The second truth is the cause of suffering. The third truth is the end of suffering. The fourth truth is the path that leads to the end of suffering.
  • The three main types of suffering in Buddhism are linked to the three sights the Buddha saw when he left the palace, old age, sickness and death.
