- Loyal, kind-hearted, and lyrical Glerk often quotes "the poet" when trying to explain his emotions or thoughts. Xan has encouraged Fyrian to believe that he is a "Simply Enormous Dragon" and that she and Glerk are just giants rather than tell Fyrian that he is tiny. Glerk knows that Xan often lies or "bends the truth" but that she does so out of love and concern. She only lies when she thinks she is protecting someone from sorrow or heartache.
