- Della has just arrived home from the hair salon, where she has gotten her haircut then serve a food for them and is contemplating what Jim would think of her.
- Libisema: 2
- I hope Della likes my gift. She has been wanting this before.
- Jim had just arrived at the apartment and was standing outside the door, thinking about Della and hoping she would accept his pricey gift.
- Libisema: 3
- Ohh! Why do you, cut your hair my della?
- My dear Jim, I did not have enough money to get you a presence and I was desperate to buy you a gift to show how much I love you so that why I cut my hair and it in the salon.
- Where Jim asks Della why she cut her long, blonde hair, Jim shocks and then Della tells him the truth.

- Della explained what happen but Jim still cant believe and shocked. and Jim give his presence to Della.

- Della was grateful about the gift, but it wont last long because she realize that she can not use from now.

- ummmmm.....let us just keep our gifts aside as i do not have my watch because i actually sold my watch to by the combs as I also did not have enough money for the gift
- Lets just enjoy the Christmas my Dear Della
- Della wants give the gift and asks for Jim's watch, but Jim is hesitant to give it and ultimately tells the truth about what he did to his watch, and Della realizes that Jim won't be able to utilize his gift because he sold his watch. But they enjoy the gift of the both anyway.
