  • Window (Christmas)
  • Mirror (Hanukkah)
  • Door (Kwanzaa)
  • I knew about Christmas before I read this article, but it also helped me learn a bit more. For example, I did know that people used to decorate their Christmas trees with edible foods, but I had no idea that the Christmas tree tradition originated in Germany, or that people in Mexico celebrated Christmas with a parade.
  • I knew almost everything about Hanukkah before I read this article, because I heard the story about how Hanukkah came to be about 100 times, so I've got it memorized. I also celebrate Hanukkah, because it's a holiday in our religion, unlike Christmas, which we don't celebrate religiously, Something that a lot of people don't know though, is that Hanukkah is a minor holiday because it doesn't appear on the Torah.
  • I didn't actually know that Kwanzaa existed so this was definitely a door. I think It's interesting how they celebrate it, and it also sounds kind of like Hanukkah in the way that it also lasts multiple days, and you light candles as well. But that's where the similarities end, as Hanukkah and Kwanzaa celebrate two very different things.
