- Once upon a time there was an angel who befriended humans. One day the angel decided to teach the humans about the gifts of the sacraments. The angel explained that the sacraments were for everyone.
- Well my child that oil is used to anoint the sick, so that God may help heal you. It’s a holy oil that God has given to provide spiritual and physical comfort as well as peace.
- The humans grew curious and eager to learn. Seeing the smiles of the humans made the angel happy and soon they were on there way to learn about some of the sacraments.
- Ahhh the sacrament of matrimony. The bonding between a man and women into one. A true gift given by God to unite two beings so that they may never walk alone.
- Father I believe God has called me to follow the path of priest hood. So I followed his command, but I am still not sure if it’s the right path.
- My boy you are experiencing the sacrament of Holy Orders. You are being called by God to serve him as a priest. I understand that you are afraid and it’s an enormous responsibility. But do not be afraid, God only gives this sacrament to those he knows are capable of handling the sacraments themselves!
- Father, what was the use for that oil?
- Father I have sinned but I don’t know how to fix my mistake.
- Ahh my boy do not look so down. God has given us the sacrament of Reconciliation to help us with our sins and mistakes.When we sin and repent we are asking for Gods’ mercy and love which in the end helps us grow closer to God.
- What’s going on?
- Everyone’s preparing themselves for the the sacrament of baptism. When a baby is born it’s also born with original sin. That’s why we go to get baptized, so that we may be free from original sin. It’s also a gift by God. When we get baptized we are seen as children of God and are welcomed into the church.
