- There once was a painter named Cabanel. He was a very good painter. He was so good in fact he went to art school in France. One day in France after being yelled at, Cabanel drew a very strange portrayal of the devil

- This Depiction of Lucifer AKA the devil showed more of an emotional and hurt angel as opposed to the scary typical menace usually shown

- This portayal is firstly strengthened by the color which really show the elegance and grace during the sadness of the fallen angel during his descent from heaven
- Another formal element In the painting is the rule of thirds which seperates the sky lucifer and the ground. Which shows a contrast between the now disgraced lucifer and the angels
- Overall, The elements within cabanel's painting really showcase lucifers mental state and the things going around him. Small details such as the tears and the look in his eyes really encapsulate the emotions within the piece
