Hello everybody! Today we'll be talking about what addiction is and how someone can develop one.
An addiction is a mental disease that can alter the brain. It is defined as the uncontrollable urge to do something - mostly behavioural or substance addiction.
Behavioural addiction is constantly doing something that provides lots of "excitement" like gambling and internet addiction, while substance addiction is caused by having a specific substance, like drugs or alcohol.
Does anyone know what a behavioural or substance addiction is?

Very good answer, Tori. Now, does anyone other than Tori want to answer how someone can develop an addiction?
A person can develop a behavioural addiction due to many factors, such as genetics, their environment, trauma, poor mental health, etc., and a substance addiction if they try a little bit of a drug that alters their brain chemistry.
