Then he could go short distances at a time on his own.
And finally after months and months he could do it, he could walk across a room by himself.
Slowly but slowly he made progress It took more than just weeks it took months and at first he needed help.

Now hes back to his old life with his family his job in construction and even hunting again just you know not from so high up.
At first he would only go places with my mom because he was scared.
Then he started seeing his friends again and going out more.

How Dad? How could you be standing?
He tells us he's been doing rehab and it originally wasn't supposed to work he was going to be in a wheelchair the rest of his life and that he couldn't really stand long but something changed they didn't know what but it was something, he still couldn't feel the right side of his body from the waist down but whatever it was, was progress.
The day he walked across the room wasn't just a milestone for him it was a milestone for us as a family. I had my dad back again I didn't half to be worried anymore about him about my sisters about my mom, that day marked the day I got my life back not my old life but a new one and now I was ok with that. But that's not the end of this story not at all..
