- Parris: What did you do with her in the forest?
- Abigail: Shut it, now shut it.
- Parris's daughter Betty is in a coma-like state. He is interrogating Abigail as to why she is this way and what thye were doing in the forrest.
- Mary and Mercy arrive and they discuss the events that occured in the woods with Abigail and they admit to lying to Parris. Suddenly Betty wakes up in hysterics and accusess Abigail of drinking a charm to kill Goody Proctor.
