- There was a baby bird that fell out of a tree and wandered around looking for his mother.
- I can't fly. I need my mother. Where is she?

- The baby bird asked a dog, a cow and finally a Snort if they were his mother. No one was his mother. Baby bird was so sad.
- You are a silly bird. GO AWAY!

- The baby bird was so scared but the Snort was just bringing him back to his mommy. Baby bird knew his mother immediately. This is my favorite Dr. Seuss book.
