- Theseus prepares for the eventful tournament by building three temples dedicated to the Gods. Emeyle and the two warriors visit different temples to pray for themselves for luck on the tournament day. Both Paloman and Arcite receive positive signs from Venus and Mars, but Emeyle is left accepting the fact that her fate cannot be changed.
