- Hi my name is Taieba! And today I will be explaining cellular respiration. Cellular respiration is the process by which cells break down food like sugar using, using oxygen to create energy like ATP that the cell can use to function, releasing carbon dioxide and water as waste. Cellular respiration is like the electricity that runs your home because it's like how your cells "breathe" to stay alive and active.

- What is the importance of breathing and eating energy rich foods? Breathing is essential for providing the oxygen needed to break down food and take energy from it. Eating energy rich-foods is important because your body needs to function properly. For example, this allows you to perform your daily activities, exercise, and maintain overall health.

- If your body does not perform cellular respiration you may have diabetes, because when you have diabetes your body does not have enough glucose or insulin in your self, causing a buildup of glucose in your bloodstream. But, when cellular respiration is performed cells break down glucose (sugar) from food.
