Aahhh!!!
I don’t want to die please!
You will never disturb my peace again!
I shall kill that evil monster!
Allow me, my lord, to purge this hall of all evil. I shall slay any monster that comes near you and your people!
Grendel, an evil monster, heard loud music and celebrations in Herot, which caused him to pound in pain and fury.
Grendel despised human joy and celebration, so he went to Herot and attacked the Danes, ripping them apart and slaughtering them.
I will defeat you, Grendel! Your reign of terror is over!
Beowulf, the strongest of the Geats, and a group of mighty warriors set sail for the Danes' land to fight the monster Grendel.
Thank you for your bravery. Be sure that I will welcome you and your people with open arms as long as I am alive.
*Victorious cheering*
I don’t want to die please!
Upon arriving in Herot, Beowulf represented himself to king Hrothgar and promised to slay the monster terrorizing his people.
Grendel attacked Herot again, but Beowulf was there to save the day. He was able to defeat Grendel ripping his arm off.
Beowulf hung the arm of Grendel on the wall portraying his victory. Beowulf is honored with songs, and the celebration lasts well into the night.
