Look at this new land we are discovering Lewis. Up ahead I think I see the natives.
Lewis and Clark were hired by Thomas Jefferson to explore the new land (Louisiana Territory). By then they discovered new things and documented down everything they saw so they could tell Jefferson everything. Up ahead they saw a native village.

We finally made it to the native tribe Clark. Let see who/what we find here.
Look there this native girl here, we should talk to her so she could help us out. Also to get more information.
As they arrived to the natives tribe they found some girl (Sacajawea). Before they approach her they are disposing if they should bring her back to 13 colonies so she could help out Jefferson and get information about the Louisiana Territory.

But what about my family and tribe.
We are asking you Sacajawea to come with us.
Lewis and Clark asked Sacajawea to come back to the 13 colonies with them because they just explored somewhere new and with her skills as a interpret and her knowledge of this new land that they discovered they (natives) could help out Thomas Jefferson. (She ended up agreeing and helped out so much.)
