  • The 1973 Constitutional Authoritarianism, it was under the Marcos regime. Ferdinand E. Marcos was elected president in 1965, and in 1967, Philippine Congress passed a resolution calling for a constitutional convention to change the 1935 Constitution.

  • Lastly, the 1987 Constitution after Martial Law. It was implemented under Cory Aquino's administration, and this Constitution is what our country follows until now. The Constitution begins with a preamble and 18 self-contained articles. It established the Philippines as a "democratic republican State" where "sovereignty resides in the people and all government authority emanates from them".
