- Billy goes to sign the book, but notices the entries in the book are from years ago. Their names are familiar, too. The landlady disregards this and invites him to have tea.

- Mr Mulholland was a great one for his tea.
- I suppose he left fairly recently,

- The landlady reveals she has a thing for taxidermy. The dog that Billy saw earlier in the lobby was done by her. He's fascinated and continues to enjoy his tea, which faintly tastes of bitter almonds.
