  • Metellus Cimber begs Caesar to pardon his banished brother, but Caesar refuses, proclaiming his unwavering stance.

  • The mob mistakenly kills Cinna the poet, believing him to be one of the conspirators. This demonstrates the destructive force of mob mentality.
  • (Cinna), I am cinna, not cinna the conspirator.
  • His name is cinna, pluck but his name out of his heart, and turn him going.
