I the text the author states,"She heated some lima beans and ham she had in the icebox,made the cocoa, and set the table." This is the falling action because it is getting closer to the resolution.

  • Resolution The resolution is the ending of a story. The resolution of this story is when Mrs. Jones gave Rodger 10 dollars to buy blue suede shoes. Then Rodger left and he never saw Mrs. Jones again. The text say, "The boy wanted to say something else other than “Thank you,m'am" to Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones, but although hislips moved, he couldn't even say that as he turned at the foot ofthe barren stoop and looked up at the large woman in the door.Then she shut the door." This is the resolution because everything gets resolved.
