Its called a conch you can blow in it and make noise.
One of the first things that happened when Piggy and Ralph meet for the first time. First Ralph was looking around when he bumped up with Piggy and they introduce them self to each other.
Chapter 1
As piggy calms down he finally introduces himself to ralph. Piggy tells ralph that he doesn't like to be called piggy, but ralph laughs anyways.
Chapter 1
There is more people here!
As they were wondering around they found a lagoon and then Ralph went in for a swim but piggy didn't because he told Ralph that he didn't know how to swim. As Ralph was in the water he found a conch.
Chapter 1
The noise was so loud that a choir group of boys followed the noise to where ralph and piggy were. They maybe thought they were going to get saved and go back home so they followed the noise.
What is that noise lets follow it.
This is when jack went up to ralph and piggy and they were confused because they didn't know there was more people on the island. And they were confused when they saw jack and they got a little scared.
At this point they all went to go look around the island and they were looking for a spot. They were trying to find a place that would be perfect that they can live there in till they get rescued.
