I'm not drinking it, I'm punishing the thief that drank it.
Conflict
Well, there's really no convincing you. I'm off to say goodbye at the farmhouse.
Don't worry, my dear! I'll make sure that thief regrets it.
Rising Action
Where are my boots?
Near the beginning, when Judson talks with his wife and when he first opened the closet, it introduces the characters in the story. It focuses on how Judson is like and how he is ruthless when it comes to handling things on his own.
Climax
Drink this! It'll make you feel better!
The conflict is when Judson's wife, Mabel, tries convincing him not to do it. Judson continues to assure her everything will be fine, and Mabel gives up, going to tell Alec's wife so nobody gets hurt.
Falling Action
Mr. Webb? Wake up! Are you okay?
Judson goes to get his boots out on the porch, leaving his special closet door open. He goes outside to the porch and there is a squirrel with an acorn. The squirrel drops it when he gets near. Judson steps on the acorn and trips, hitting his head on the table. This knocks him out, and Alec sees because he is heading back from the lake.
Resolution
The climax is when Judson wakes up for a brief moment to see Alec, with a cup in his hands. He tells Judson to drink it to feel better. The cup contained the poisoned whiskey.
Judson dies, and there is no cure for the poison inside him. His wife gains his possessions.
Judson dies because of his plan for revenge going wrong. Going too far with revenge can give you karma.
