- The rocket soared through the daytime sky with a swoosh, with clouds surrounding Wendy and Peter. The only thing they could hear was the subtle shifting of the seat and humming of the rocket engine, vibrating Peter and Wendy in their seats. Reaching New York took about 3 hours, so the children contented themselves with the thrill of the ride and the lovely view.

- 3 hours passed by quickly, landing in New York, and they bounced off the rocket, excited about the possible sights of this unknown city, yet to be discovered by them. However, as they explored the city, they found that New York was much less exciting than they thought. Slowly, they became more and more bored, and their disinterest in their surroundings was like a scratchy blanket they couldn’t kick off. Peter and Wendy began letting their minds wander.
- The children vehemently shook their heads and continued walking through the city, even though they had both realized that the city held nothing quite interesting enough for them. But their minds wandered still, and the feelings of regret and boredom had tainted the little jaunt so much that they could no longer bear it.
