- I don't know what you mean, we have been here all our lives. We have our language and our culture; this place is our home.
- Home?
- Yes, we have trade networks that stretch across regions, art, and kinship, which acts as our governance, economy, and social life.
- We have around 300,000 people here on this land.

- So, life here was sophisticated and diplomatic before the Europeans came here?
- I do not know what you are talking about but yes, strangely dressed man, we have life here.

- So why would they call this place the "New World" if there is already civilization here? Did they just ignore the complexity of the economy, agriculture, and their political system?
