Francisco Pizarro was born in Spain in 1474 and was from a financially unstable family.
Growing up, he desired wealth and fame; as a result, when he was older, Pizarro went along with hundreds of settlers determined to found a colony.
After a series of unfortunate events, Pizarro became governor of several parts; he soon wanted to find land for Spain but failed the first time.

In 1541, Francisco Pizarro was assassinated by a group of armed protestors infuriated by his action of having his brothers kill the person they supported. As all explorers and conquerors have done, Pizarro left a lasting impact on Peru. Case in point, Peru’s national language is Spanish. As for Francisco Pizarro’s legacy, he is known as the conquistador whose journeys led to the Spanish colonization of Peru.
