Declaration of the Rights of Man was passed by France National Constituent Assembly. It said all men are born and remain free and equal in rights for example, liberty, property, security and resistance ti oppression.

Peasant go to attack the Bastille, which is a prison that hold political prisoners, but there are only a few of political prisoners. Peasant target was not the prisoners, peasant truly want its stores of gunpowder to use for fighting against the absolute monarch.
Louis the XVI and Marie Antoinette were executed as traitors by the guillotine. This spread fear among other European Monarch, and afraid being overthrow by people. The guillotine become the symbol of power.
After the french revolution, the message of the success of the revolution quickly spread to San Domingue by sea route, and people in San Domingue hear about this news from the sailor. The french revolution show as an example that everyone have their rights of humanity, which motivate the Latin American revolution.
