- Priest positions were sold to the highest bidder negating their need to go through the rigorous training of a regular priest.
- Effect #1 Martin Luther started even more controversy with his book
- Martin is right, we cant stand for the churches corruption.
- Indulgences were originally good deeds done by people. The churches then changed this and made people pay money to the church for the indulgences.
- Effect #2 Martin Luther is excommunicated from the catholic church by the Diet of Worms
- Martin Luther you are now banned from the catholic church
- Feudal lords would use their influence to make friends and kids priests also negating the training.
- Effect #3 New Denomination of Christianity known as Lutherism is created

- Martin Luther published a book about his thoughts on the corruption of the church. This sparked more controversy amongst the catholic community.
- After publishing the book and standing up against the church he was brought to the Diet of worms a meeting of high ranking religious figures. The Diet of worms during this meeting excommunicated him from the Catholic Church.
- After Martin was excommunicated a new denomination of Christianity which was one of many protestant forms that broke from the Catholic Church.
