  • Oh my! What is this in front of me?
  • With the sound of that bell, I must go now to kill Duncan.
  • This dagger is not real. My mind is playing tricks on me and making me think that it is.
  • Ring, ring, ring, ring!
  • Oh no! What have I done?
  • I can't. The very thought of going back there scares me.
  • Go and take them back to the guards and put Duncan's blood on them so it looks like they did it.
  • Why did you bring the daggers with you? They have to stay there!
  • You COWARD! Fine, I will do it myself!
  • Macbeth starts to hallucinate that there is a bloody dagger in front of him. The handle of the dagger is pointing towards him and the blade is pointing towards Duncan's chambers.
  • Macbeth lacks the ambition to do the hard things in life. At times, I feel like he is not manly enough.
  • Lady Macbeth got Duncan's guards drunk so that Macbeth could take their daggers and use them to kill Duncan in his sleep.
  • Knock, knock, knock, knock!
  • Also put on your nightgown in case someone sees that we are awake.
  • I hear someone knocking at the south entry. Quick, wash your hands so you get rid of the evidence
  • Lady Macbeth is upset that Macbeth did not leave the daggers with the guards to frame them for the murder.
  • Everyone! Wake up! Ring the bell! Murder! Murder!
  • Oh my good king. Who in the right mind would do this terrible act to you?
  • Lady Macbeth brings the daggers and lays them near the drunk guards. She puts some of Duncan's blood on them so it makes it seem like they killed Duncan.
  • Zzzzzzzzzz
  • Lady Macbeth comes back and her hands are bloody with Duncan's blood, just like Macbeth's.
  • Macduff arrives early to wake up Duncan, as per the king's request. Macduff enters Duncan's chambers only to see that the king has been murdered.
