- This is an example of situational irony because you would not expect a police officer to get robbed in a police station. The situation is opposite of what you would expect
- The gentlemen are praising the weather, when they could not possibly mean it, as there is a tornado approaching them. They are saying the opposite of what they mean.
- This couple does not realize there is a skeleton under the table, but we do. The audience know something that a character or characters in the story do not.
