  • Mrs. Stevenson then tries to contact her hospital to request a nurse, but the hospital is unable to send her one. During the call, however, Mrs. Stevenson hears a sound from downstairs, realizing that someone is in the house as well. She asks the nurse for the time: it is 11:14 P.M.
  • Mrs. Stevenson, trying to keep her voice down so the person downstairs wouldn't hear her, tries to call the operator to be redirected to the police department.
