- This is where Ender gets back from getting his chip out. The word "third" shows on his desk. This is the first representation of this word and shows Enders place in school, smart but small.
- Chapter 9 (Page 122-123)
- This is where Peter is messing with Ender and attacking him. Valentine is shown here too because she tried to help Ender and stop Peter. The relationship between the three of them is horrible. Only Ender and Valentine love each other while Peter is a horrible person.
- Chapter 10 (Page 155-156)
- The real start of the book happens here, when Graff greets Ender. This starts off Enders journey to becoming a good fighter for battle school. Graff hides some things but stretches the truth to assure that everything is alright so that they can get Ender to come.
- Chapter 11 (Page 196-199)
- Valentine still remember Ender while the rest of the family forgets him. They leave to Greensboro, where they think that Ender could not find his way back. Also, this starts a turning point in the book where Peter tries to get power.
- This is where Ender sees his first bit of moving forward in battleschool. He is now commander of his own army. This is important because him moving forward is the most important thing to the I.F.
- This is a very important scene in the book because Ender shows some feelings towards life when Bean is in the room. It opens up life to Bean and sort of makes him realize some things. This scene developes another character in the book.
