- Mr. Summers declared the lottery open and was about to start when Mrs Hutchison arrived.
- Mr. Summers called every head of family to draw a piece of paper. They all had the paper folded.
- It isn't fair....
- Bill Hutchison had the paper with the black dot. Mrs. Hutchison was saying that they didn't give him the time he needed. Now only the Hutchisons will have to draw a piece of paper.
- After all the Hutchisons had a paper they opened them and Tessie Hutchison had the paper with the black dot.
- Everyone grabbed a stone and they started to throw them at her until she was dead.
