- The First Crusade!!!
- The Muslims have tortured us and invaded our land. This has to STOP!!!
- Pope Urban II began the 1st Crusade at 3:35pm, Tuesday, 27th November, 1095.
- 5 massive armies of knights and noblemen set of from France and Germany. They walked 2000 miles to Jerusalem, and took over every town they passed.
- WE DID IT!!!
- The Christians from Europe successfully captured Jerusalem in 1096.
- The Second Crusade was the second major crusade that begun in Europe. It begun in response to the fall of Edessa in 1144 to the Zengi forces.
- The Third Crusade (1189-1192) was an attempt by the three most powerful state leaders to conquer the Holy Land.
- The Fourth Crusade was called by Pope Innocent III. The aim was to recapture the Muslim controlled city of Jerusalem.
