The story of the Viola

- Once upon a time, the gods had a beautiful orchestra made up of soft instruments that they allowed all living things to watch
- Then one day, Zeus came to Apollo, the god of music.
- "I want some bass in my orchestra, and it shall be called the double bass, and something smaller, the cello
- One day, Apollo was making a violin when he cut the wood too big. He didn't realize his mistake until it was too late.
- "I'm sorry Zeus, but it doesn't fit in any of the cases to hide it!"
- "Hide it!"
- But word got out, and the people demanded rights for the new instrument, and the gods were forced to announce it.
- "It shall be named the Viola, due to the similarities to the violin, and it shall be added to the orchestra!"
- But when the viola was played in the orchestra, it caused a deadly plague that killed many people. In order to stop it, the oracle of Delphi said for a king to play it. One did, and died immediately, but cured the people.
- Now, anyone who plays the viola is cursed to have a bad sound whenever they play and to never get a good solo.
