Hello! I am the Spanish explorer Francisco Vasquez de Coronado. I've heard the stories brought by Cabeza de Vaca about the golden city of Cibola, so me and my men went off to search for Cibola in 1540. While we were searching for the city of Cibola, we discovered the Grand Canyon, the Pacific Ocean, and the Palo Duro Canyon, but we never found the Seven cities of gold. Eventually, the Spanish ignored Texas for a while because there was no gold to be found. Only in 1685 did Spain become interested in Texas again.

Hello. I am the French explorer La salle. I was set out with my men to establish a colony near the Mississippi River in 1685, but accidentally ended up in Matagorda Bay. Me and my men created a fort called Fort St. Louis claiming this region for France. Though, the local Karankawa tribe did not approve of this, and destroyed the fort while I was away gathering supplies, killing more than 350 of my 400 men in 1686. In 1687, only me and 6 other men survived. We traveled back to French Canada, and I will soon be later assassinated by my own men. Wait what?

If I was a Spanish explorer, I would want to explore Texas and all of its tribe cultures. I would also want to learn about the history of the tribes and how they survive.
