  • On June 20, 1789, the members of the French Third Estate vowed to "never separate, and to reassemble wherever circumstances require, until the constitution of the kingdom is established."
  • On July 14, 1789, in the east side of Paris, a prison named Bastille was stormed by a mob. Bastille had become a symbol of monarchy's dictatorial rule.
  • On October 5th, 1789, nearly 7,000 women carrying pitchforks and muskets, marched in the rain from Paris to Versailles, forcing King Louis XVI to take his family to Paris.
  • On August 27, 1789, The Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen was written and signed which explains the rights like freedom of religion, speech, assembly, and separation of powers.
