One Summer Day

- One summer day, Alex and Susan really wanted to go to their friends house to play. They went into the kitchen and found their mom. They were both really nervous so, Alex asked, "Hey mom Susan and I were just wondering If we could go to our friends house."
- Mom replied with,"Sure, you two can go as long as you finish three chores from the chore jar. I need some help around the house and I would love if you two helped me clean up."
- Alex reassured Susan that the chores wouldn't take to long.
- Susan quickly went into the living room and started pulling the sticks with chores out from the jar. "Okay Alex, the three popsicle sticks I picked are laundry, yard work, and mopping. "
- Okay, you can do laundry and mop while I do the yard work..
- Well..maybe me and you can do each chore together.
- I guess I can do laundry , but I thought laundry was for girls?
- If you think about it, laundry can be done by anyone. We all need clean clothes.
