Pregled Aktivnosti
Komunikacija je jedna od ključnih komponenti zdravog odnosa. Nažalost za tinejdžere, to obično nije njihova najjača vještina. Studenti će možda teško razmišljati o onome što govore prije nego što to kažu. Promjena onoga što je rečeno može biti teško, ali poučiti tinejdžere kako reći ono što misle je realan cilj. Jedan od načina za to je uvođenje „Izjava I“.
Kad netko pokušava doći do točke, a govornik kaže "nastavljaš to raditi" ili "stalno to govoriš", prisiljava slušaoca na pogrešno. Tada slušatelj kreće u obranu i često puca u leđa. Ovo nije učinkovit način komunikacije. Jednostavnom promjenom komunikacije prema sebi "mislim ...", "osjećam se ..." i "želim ..." slušatelj tada čuje što njihovi postupci čine drugoj osobi. U ovoj će se aktivnosti učenici koristiti ja ... izjavama kako bi učinkovito komunicirali u određenom scenariju. Trebalo bi ih dovršiti scenarij i rješenje kako bi se osigurao pozitivan ishod. Jedine ćelije koje će studenti stvarati su I izjave.
